#32 is out, what are your thoughts on art and writing and how they work together?
Also what cover do you like better?

I really liked it. I will say that I liked the recent run of Action more before that started the doomed/enemy of the state event. I will probably pull this title for a few issues to give it a chance. I really liked the story. I am stating to feel like the real test is the team's second arc, not the first that the writer has been dreaming if writing for years.

I've always strongly disliked Superman comics, but a friend of mine gave me his copy of #32 and I'll definitely be sticking with this creative team. The art work was refreshing for a Superman comic and I really like the move of bringing in a new character at first, instead of rehashing an old villan.

I loved #33. Johns seems to be writing an isolated and lonely Superman. Very heartbreaking.

Spoken like a true virgin. Is that good or bad? Definitely good. (I was referring to Goyer's characterization of comics readers as basement-dwelling virgins.)

I am so glad this team and book is happening, Action Comics finally had me reading a Superman book that wasn't just Unchained and then this Doomed arc started. What bothers me is I LOVE the Death of/World Without/Return of Superman arcs so thought another Doomsday event would be cool to see in New 52, and I also really loved the Doomsday Villains Month tie-in. But this Doomed event is awful. I'm glad this new team isn't being forced to tie into it like every other book with an S in it.

If this book can manage to stay out of "crossover hell" I think it might be super enjoyable.

Not really much of a superman reader (or DC for that matter) but I decided to give this a try with the new team. Took me through the first issue to get used to Romita's style but I think I kind of like this. Clark seems kind of more like a politics nerd, and superman seems more... I guess someone said grounded and that sounds about right.

@tooth I'm not a huge fan of variants, but when I heard about Romita Sr. doing Superman, which apparently this is the only time he has drawn Superman officially for a book, I knew I had to try and snag a copy. Luckily my LCS got 1 copy and I was able to get my hands on it, and it ended up costing $60. Not too bad for a 1:100 variant.
