I think this will be a trade purchase for me, especially since Vol.1 trades from Image are pretty cheap. First issue was okay, but not great enough to stay on the pull list.

I read that #1 got a third printing which is pretty big. This might be the book I look forward to most each month. I truly can't get enough so I secretly wish I waited for the trade.

I love that the tension in this story is not in the monsters alone, but some of the members of the crew as well. Will it be the monsters outside that bring them down, or the monsters within?

Issue #4 was once again simply amazing. I'm intrigued to see what sort of deal they've done with Charbonneau, and where the baby fits in.

My knowledge of American history isn't particularly great, apart from the main things like the 'big' events like Columbus, Independence, Civil War, and Civil rights. This book has stoked an interest though, gonna pay a trip the library this weekend and pick up some books on Lewis and Clark.

Just finished reading the first trade on this series and I have to admit I liked it a lot more than I thought I would. The dichotomy between Lewis and Clark throughout the book is what kept me most interested, not really the mythical monsters. I'll definitely continue to read this in trade.

Just finished reading the first trade on this series and I have to admit I liked it a lot more than I thought I would. a friend of mine at he LCS recommended this to me and I have to say I had a similar experience with this book. I'm kind of torn as it definitely seems like it reads better as a trade, but I added it to my pull just to make sure I get counted in the sales figures (I'm gun-shy about waiting for trades after X-Factor got cancelled, regardless of whether that was a legitimate cause of cancellation for that particular book). anyway, my personal hang-ups aside, I was skeptical about this one coming in but once I got reading I had a hard time putting it down. I think the thing that appeals to me is north america just doesn't feel very exotic in real life, but this presents a possibility that at one time it was a land of mystery and exotic or legendary creatures. europe and asia have their mythologies that make them feel very exotic to me and now this gives me a glimpse of something like that for north america.

Who's still enjoying Manifest Destiny?
Just read #13 this week and still loving it. We're getting a bit more involved with the characters which is great.
No spoilers from me but I'm really pleased they finally gave Sacagawea a reason to stay with Lewis & Clark. I was starting to think, "What reason does she have to stick around?", and this device means that they have something she wants instead of the inverse.
