HEARTBREAK!!!
The USA gives up an equalizer to Portugal with 15 seconds remaining in added time!
Germany v. USA for all the marbles up next!

It was an intense game, the USA goalkeeper and Dampsey were the MVP pretty much. But their defense wasn't that great...they let Portugal get close a lot. And as expected Ronaldo didn't performed that great due to his injury.
Ohh and Korea vs Algeria was also very good!

A solid performance like that against the Germans should see your boys through. I was gutted when that equaliser went in! Just need a draw in the next game to guarantee progression and even if they don't, Portugal and Ghana sharing the points will also do. It'll be tense stuff!

Huw, The US team is well ahead of where I would have predicted, so I shouldn't be too upset, but giving up a goal in that fashion is such a killer, you have to wonder if might affect them against Germany.

We(the Netherlands!!!)are up again tonight against Chile.
Although we already are going to be in the next round this match will decide who will be the leader of the group and who we will face in the next round. I think its going to be another tough one, Chile looked pretty strong in their previous matches and we didn't in our last match against Australia.
And the USA has got their work cut out for them when they face Germany, but i will cheer them on.

The US team benefit from a lot of experienced heads in the squad. I've no doubt Juergen Klinnsman will tell them in spite of what happened they did very well. As Cardiff City's manager so often had to say last season: "we'll dust ourselves off and go again". Let's hope the USA team actually do that, unlike City!

We'll learn a lot about the US team on Thursday! With both sides needing a good result, it should be interesting!

We should have a tipping competition for the finals?
Also for the games on the 23rd (24th my time) i think the winners will be Netherlands (Vs Chile), Australia (Vs Spain), Brazil (Vs Cameroon) and Croatia (Vs Mexico)
And Google has been doing some good Google doodles for the tournament

Well as i predicted the match against Chile was a tough one but two of our substitute players managed to score in the second half. 2-0 for the Netherlands!
Now we're gonna be up against Mexico this Sunday.

Now we're gonna be up against Mexico this Sunday. "D", That could be the match of the tournament right there! Mexico is playing great end-to-end football, and with the Netherlands looking so strong across the entire roster (and Van Persie back from being carded?), I'd imagine the match being a very exciting affair!
