I read three very different but entertaining books this week.
Red Lanterns #31was awesome, really like where the story is going.I saw that this was a cross-over with the Supergirl book(that i didn't read)which i didn't think was necessary, but it still was a pretty good read.
Ms.Marvel #4 was my one of my favourites of the series so far, Kamala already was a great character but after this issue i like her even more. And this issue has some hillarious stuff in it.
But the best book for me was Southern Bastards #2. I just love everything about this book, the characters(especially the main character and the relationship that he had with his deceased father)the story, the art and the overall feel of this book.
Book of May was definitely Saga #19. It was great to see this series returning, even though that first page almost made me sick and that last page almost killed me:)

Book of May was definitely Saga #19. It was great to see this series returning, even though that first page almost made me sick and that last page almost killed me:) I agree with Ms. Marvel but my only gripe with the series is that it isn't double shipped, it feels a little slow and some double shipping could alleviate some of that. Book of the month for me is either; Black Canary and Zatanna: BloodSpell, or Green Lantern Volume 4: Dark Days. Bloodspell was just great fun, the art was fun to look at, the story felt a little light at times but it was just a great read overall. Dark Days my first exposure to both Robert Venditti, and Billy Tan's work and I enjoyed it. They craft a great follow up to Geoff Johns' run and I enjoyed it even if I have a couple of problems with the book (Mainly the text page explaining what happened in the New Guardians, Corps and Red Lanterns issues of Lights Out). Shout out to other trades I bought this month mainly Batman Volume 4: Zero Year, (which I am a little disappointed in, because it's 4 issues and 4 issue trades are just a little light for my taste, and that it was solicited to contain the 0 issue and the second annual, and they were left out for some reason), Green Arrow Volume 4: The Kill Machine, this book was just great, especially compared to the crap that the first three volumes contained, although that might have came out last month.

Yes and no. I agree that it feels slow sometimes and it would be nice if it came out more but there's a chance that would affect the quality of the book in a bad way.And in that case i would rather have it come out only once a month.

Batman #31! With the way it's been going, I'd totally read a Zero Year ongoing.

My books of the week go to Mighty Avengers #10 and All New Invaders. The conclusion to this arc of Invaders setsup for some huge cosmic implications.
My book for the Month of May would have to be Nailbiter, this book really stood apart from everything else for me this month.

Book of The Week has to be Trees #1

Ms. Marvel #4 is definitely book of the week for me and it almost tied with Saga #19 for book of the month. Honourable mentions: Black Canary and Zatanna: Bloodspell, Afterlife with Archie #5, Rat Queens #6, Nailbiter #1, and Cyclops #1. I haven't been able to reread some of the other stuff I picked up this month so there might've been more haha over all, a very good month for quality comics

This week I really enjoyed Ms Marvel and Trees. Thought Fantastic Four issue was pretty good as well. There's been so many good books this month, Saga, The Woods, Black Science, Translucid, Rocket Girl and Wraith all highlights, but I think Moonknight #3 was my favourite book this month.

I thought for sure it'd be Batman, but Deadly Class really took the cake. Remender's writing is a stellar combination of intelligent and cool. Wes Craig, the artist, is so creative with his page layouts and the actual art is a perfect compliment to the subject. Last, but not least, Lee Loughridge is so f***ing great that even though I don't follow colorists, I had to look up who this guy was. Lee does not only do creative color choices, but manages to fuse the writing and the art to fit the tone to a T.
This comic seems to be an escalation in quality issue by issue. A MUST BUY!
And the most unoriginal pick of the month: Saga 19 Runner-up: Deadly Class 5

Batman #31! With the way it's been going, I'd totally read a Zero Year ongoing. I didn't like the first four-five issues of Zero Year, but it is on a roll now!
