This book, man. I was highly skeptical at first, but it just keeps finding ways to surprise and intrigue me, and issue #7 this week was no exception. Good, good stuff.
Anyone else digging it?

Continues to be outstanding; truly I hope some of you are along for this spectacularly-original, wholly existential ride. Flipping the 007-genre on its head is really satisfying, to me.

Definitely recommend, though it's by no means what you'd expect from a typical spy/assassin story, and the different-artist-for-each-issue thing took me a minute to wrap my head around. It has a very strong existential/philosophical focus, and the end of issue #2 (i think it was) and especially the end of issue #5 put it on a bit of an unusual and unexpected trajectory (in a good way) for what ostensibly bills itself as a more straight-up spy story.

Ales Kot can be tough to digest sometimes. His writing is so dense even where there isn't a lot of text to take in. The plot seems to move all over the place and it's tough to follow from issue to issue. That said I do pick this up every time it comes out and I am enjoying it. I wish it were more consistent, but it's still a solid book.

I think that the first two arcs (the second arc, especially) could definitely be described that way (though I enjoyed them immensely, regardless), but these first two issues of the current (third) arc have felt much more focused and cohesive and on-topic, to me. I'm sure Kot will still throw us a few more eccentric, poetic, curveball issues before the series is over and done with, but I feel like it's really found a much more traditional momentum and heading in the last two months, with an eye on tackling the wheres, whens, whys, and hows of the sci-fi-pocalyptic mystery that he set up in the flash-forwards back in the spring.

I just read #12 and really enjoyed it. The alien fungus infused house/cockney kid seems very interesting.

So are they finally going back to the big reveal at the end of arc one with the alien invasion? That's been completely ignored during the second arc

I'm not sure it's aliens, per se, but yes, we're getting to that bit of the story, which is super awesome, 'cause the end of #5 is what sold me on the series after my initial interest. And (this is sort of pedantic at this point, but I can't help myself) there was one issue in the second arc that touched on that thread, if I remember right. Zero's handler visits a big warehouse facility that's related to that stuff and we catch a glimpse, right? I seem to remember a hint of it.
