Batman #28 should've been Batman: Eternal #0.1 instead of #39.5
and since I have not participated in this thread yet
First exposure - TDK trilogy and the Schumacher and Burton films Favourite arc - Hush or The Black Mirror Favourite Villain - Hugo Strange, he is one of the biggest underrated batman villains and I am hoping that Snyder does an arc with him or at least they do one in Detective Comics. Why do i like Batman - Because he is the most interesting character psychology wise and he's Batman

29-wow! It amazes me how Snyder can add nuances to a story known by millions and make it deeper with every word. What he is doing now, I think 50 years from now, Batman readers will be describing as part of the origin story canon. And by the way, the art is more than beautiful. It is gripping. It is Gotham.

Have you guys read the original Dark Knight Dark City by Peter Milligan? I'm assuming that Snyder has, since there are little things he seems to be borrowing from it for this section of Zero Year. Just little things, namely the title, the villain, and a fairly key element in issue 29. (Trying to avoid spoilers...) It's such a curious choice to draw inspiration from for Batman's origin, but I think that's what's making the story feeling fresh. I also like this very different version of Doctor Death. Very creepy visuals in 29.

Got some DC Trade news: The Batman Eternal trade is collecting issues 1-20 and is coming out December 9, 2014. Batman and Robin Vol. 5: The Big Burn collects 24-28 and has the Two Face villains month issue, and comes out December 2, 2014. Batman Vol. 5: Zero Year-Dark City collects 25-31 (which apparently collects the Batman Eternal flashforward which is a bit odd, they should probably cut that and chuck it in the Eternal trade) and comes out October 21, 2014 (which is about a year after Death of the Family trade was supposed to come out, so we're getting a more consistent release schedule apparently). And finally with the final Zero Year trade we get a DC Comics: Zero Year 400 page trade which collects the Zero Year tie ins, which comes out two weeks later on November 4, 2014. There's also a Detective Comics trade which collects 25-29 but I can't find a date for that yet. And sort of related the Forever Evil: Arkham War trade collects #1-6, BATMAN #23.4: BANE, DETECTIVE COMICS #23.3: SCARECROW, and BATMAN AND ROBIN #23.1 which I think was the Two Face issue and is paperback hits September 23, 2014.

Batman #29...wow, just incredible. It might've been one of my favorite issues of Snyder's run. It's amazing how quickly the read felt despite it being 40 pages. I love the over-sized issues, 40-page books for $4.99? Sign me up. Better than paying $3.99 for a 20-page book.

Batman #30 - better than #29(?) I thought this story was fantastic. Plus the color palette was simply phenomenal! Seriously I just loved the uses of the pinks and greens, was really a beautiful thing to read. I briefly thought about dropping the title after the Batman Eternal ad that I paid for, but #30 brought me right back to why I this book is so great.
Anyone else?

Batman #30 - Probably the best issue of Zero Year so far for me. I was one of the biggest critics of the idea to go back to his origin again, but Snyder and crew keep making me eat my words, the jerks!

First Hi I'm new at comics and this Forum History:First exposed was I with the Batman&Robin movie ( I know not a good start right XD) TDK Trilogy and Batman Under the Red Hood AM Favorite Story/Arc: Court of Owls, Batman Year one, The Dark Knight Returns Favorite Villain: Court of Owls clearly it's just so fascinating to me how they broke Batman's soul in this Story also I really like the Riddler because he is challenging Batman Detective skills Why because he is a the best Detective and that's the main thing I like about him he uses his brain not only his fists and he has Robin and who doesn't like Robin?

But ya anytime I get more Capullo art I'm letting the cash flow
