I was very excited when I read the preview page for issue #1 in the back of The Walking Dead. That page was golden - from the Beatles lyric opening to "Science is the new Rock". I was looking forward to loving the series. After 4 or 5 issues, I couldn't keep my excitement up issue to issue, and I dropped it for other books. Now, Nowhere Men is nominated for an Eisner against a bunch of titles I love. Now I worry that I dropped it too soon.
Is anyone reading this? What are your thoughts? Is it worth giving another try?

There are only six issues so far (Vol. 1 ended at six) so you wouldn't have much to catch up on. I have loved it, but I read vol. 1 collected and I'd have to guess that it lends itself to that better than one issue at a time. Honestly though, the nominations are mostly for something that you have already read, so if it didn't really work for you I doubt that will change with 1-2 more issues - there's no great shift in tone or anything.

You can buy the digital copy off Comixology for $4.99 for issues 1-6. It's only 50% off for limited time, so get it while it last.

I bought this series during the Comixology sale, but does anyone else feel like this series kind jumps around a lot? It could be just because this is my first read through, but some of the characters and the timeline are getting just a little confusing and I'm about three and a half issues in.

Yes, it jumps around a lot. It does gradually get tied together by the last issue, though. Also, are you reading the text pieces? I only skimmed them on my first read, but they provide a lot of background that helps to bridge the jumps in the main narrative.

I read vol. 1 after hearing about it on the podcast this week and really enjoyed it. Anyone know when the next issue is coming out?

Vol. 1 felt more like a limited series than an ongoing. Did anyone else feel that way?

Vol. 1 felt more like a limited series than an ongoing. Did anyone else feel that way? Only if it's a limited series of 12 or so issues - but yes, I could easily see a conclusion having been reached by that point. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk

I found Vol. 1 at the library and read it knowing very little about it. I LOVED it. You can just tell that the story is incredibly well thought through and planned. I can see them getting several arcs from what they have and evolving the story to go much further. We just have to get more people on board with it. I did think that it was a story that works a bit better in Trade format, but it was super dense with the articles and such that made it a more engrossing and worthwhile read, so it may not be bad from issue to issue. It is sooooo worth the money though.
