www.bleedingcool.com/2014/04/04/yanick-paquette-challenges-dc-comics-to-pay-royalties-to-colourists-and-credit-them-on-the-cover/I had no idea DC did not do this! As sad as it is for me to say I don't often look for the colorist in the credits, even though I have an immense respect for the position. Once I read the story though it did dawn on me that Marvel credits them (I don't read as much DC as I used to). It seems as though the complaints and concerns about DC from inside and outside their organization continue to grow (with this issue, the lack of diversity in their characters as well as their creators, the handling of the new film series, etc.). Props to Yanick for bringing this to our attention. I would be truly surprised if DC didn't change face in light of this attention. How do they defend their position? I also thought some of the other questions asked in the survey were interesting as well. Thoughts? Speak!

I can only speak for the trades cause that's what I mostly read, but DC seems to be getting better crediting them on their jackets. The covers for the volume fours for Green Arrow, Batman and Aquaman all list the colourist. But I do think they should be better about crediting them.
I do think it's a shame they get overlooked as often as they do considering how much responsibility they have for the visual identity of the book.
