clearly that guy just doesn't get it. People can feel how they feel about the current wonder woman, but this new costume is amazing to me. She looks empowered, respectful but still GORGEOUS! I love it. That guy just doesn't know the difference between beauty, and objectifying someone. The most attractive women reveal the least. She looks like a gorgeous, intimidating warrior. To me that is what diana should look like. I really dig WW's new look, stylish and cool. I saw J. Scott Campbell saying he doesn't like the "shoulder pads" because they aren't feminine. That seems pretty absurd to me, they're obviously there to act as armour, not make her look like she's in Dallas! Diana's (as well as any superhero of any sex) outfit doesn't have to show off a load of T&A and it's good to see a female superhero going about her business without her bits hanging out! Only thing I'm unsure of is the spike things on her wrists. But that's just a minor nit-pick. Huw, Dude! Why the Dallas hate?!?! LOL... Just because the Cowboys wear shoulder pads doesn't mean all the women here wear shoulder pads...

I have no information as to how broad the shoulders of the ladies of Dallas are due to their clothing these days. Any information on the statistics of the sales of large shoulered blazers in Dallas is welcome.

Bob have you always been more a Marvel guy? Or was there a time when you preferred DC?

Bob have you always been more a Marvel guy? Or was there a time when you preferred DC? Andrej, I'm sure that we'll get to this on our next show (which is slated to be a "Listener Feedback" episode), so I'll (mostly) save it for that, but let me answer in a round-about way by saying that the first comic that I have a vivid memory of reading is this one from 1962:

Bob, are you reading the current Magneto run? If not I really recommend #18 as a jumping on point (since you read Secret Wars #1).
What's your favorite 'version' of Erik?

Has there been a run of comics that you recognize as professionally worthy and a worthwhile read but simply dislike?

Hey guys,
I was just wondering what you think are some of the best and worst superhero costumes in comic history?
Thanks, and keep up the good work!

Chris, As we didn't get to this on the show last night (although we might eventually) I'll at least throw my answer out there. I could never wrap my head or heart around the Grant Morrison Doom Patrol run. As a huge fan of the Arnold Drake/Bruno Premiani original, that even though I could applaud Mr. Morisson's inventiveness, I just missed the "real" Rita, Larry, and Cliff far too much to embrace what he was attempting.

Chris, I've not read a lick of the new Magneto, but with my pull list dwindling, I may take a shot. As to my favorite version, I'd say it's the regally villainous version that populated the classic Claremont/Byrne era of X-Men.

Hey guys, I was just wondering what you think are some of the best and worst superhero costumes in comic history? Thanks, and keep up the good work! Dave, I don't think that anything can top the original super-hero couture look by Joe Shuster... ...although the Simon & Kirby design for Captain America might be a close second... As to the worst costume, for me, not counting all the half-dressed heroines of the Image Era, I'd say you can't go wrong with Cable's by Rob Liefeld, which started a whole wave of hideousness:

Thanks for answering, Bob! I agree, that original Superman is still great, i'm also a fan of those old school costumes. And 90s Cable is a good pick for the worst.I loved the character and that design in the 90s when i was a kid, but looking back...its not great...
