So, issue 13... I thought this was absolutely fantastic. Must have been a difficult issue to both write and draw, doubly so for Tula Lotay (as a guest artist) who continues to excel every time I see her work. Won't spoil the specifics of the content, but this is a strong contender for single issue of the year so far. Yes Tula's art was a high point, simply beautiful and the concept still holds strong.
Spoiler: Although I am getting less and less interested in the current trend in many creator owned books to introduce a main narrator and then kill them after a trade or two - I know you can but that doesn't mean you have to do it, every time it happens I find it erodes my connection to the book/s involved.
At the moment I am still enjoying the ride and mystery behind some characters but its getting close to 'splaining time or it might fall down my pull list till ala Southern Bastards it was out, no interest anymore.

As far as the series as a whole goes I tend to agree, but this issue was a wonderful done in one regardless. I don't know - in the case of this series I've rather assumed from the start that *everyone* connected to the gods would wind up dead by the end of the series. I know it's only explicit for the gods themselves, but everyone else felt to me like they were living under the sword of Damocles too...

I'm all caught up on this series, still don't know what to think about it though. Love the art and the concept, but Gillen's writing is a bit hit or miss for me, and i not sure how i feel about some of the things that happened in the story so far.But its a series that has a way of grabbing you, so i will keep reading it.
