I love going to the movies, but much harder to do nowadays with needing to get a babysitter. This usually means that I have to be very selective about what I go see, so when I do go out to the movies, I want to make be as confident as possible that the movie will be good. I'd love to see most of the movies mentioned here, but I'm most excited about Interstellar. Love Christopher Nolan, love big concept sci-fi movies, and surprisingly I've been enjoying many recent movies starring Matthew McConaughey. Was not a fan for a while, really enjoyed his work in Mud and True Detectives.

So this is my BIG list of things I'm looking forward to! Lego movie 300: rise of a empire Noah Captain America: the winter soldier Spider-Man 2 Godzilla X-men: days of future past Maleficent Edge of tomorrow 22 jump street How to train your dragon 2 Transformers 4 Dawn of the planet of the apes Guardians of the galaxy HerculesExpendable 3 Teenage mutant ninja turtles Interstellar The hobbit: there and back again And lastly, Dumb and dumber too. I best get saving. Heyo, Hercules was utterly awful. When you ask your 11yr olds how a movie was, a movie designed to appeal directly to boys and fans of mythology, cool fight scenes, and fantasy fans, and the responses are "That movie was so cheesy" and "Wow, that was crappy." Seriously, I looked over a them a couple of times during the show and they were literally laughing out loud at the ridiculousness of the movie. I couldn't even recommend this as a movie to watch if it came out free on the TV. Hopefully the next version of Hercules, due out this fall(?) starring The Rock will make me forget I ever saw this movie. - Beau

Not surprised its been getting ripped apart review wise. I mean when you cast actors from the Twilight series you're asking for your movie to fall on its face.

Movies I'm looking forward to (with parentheticals): Captain America: The Winter Soldier (Everything about this looks amazing) Only Lovers Left Alive (Tom Hiddleston as a vampire? Yes please!) Veronica Mars (I'm a Kickstarter backer, so this should probably really be top of my list) Maleficent (See note for Captain America above) The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 (Mockingjay is my least favorite book of the series, but Catching Fire improved so much on the first movie I'm hoping they can continue that magic) X Men: Days of Future Past (I know there's some griping about costumes but I don't read X Men and liked the last movie so I'm open to it) The Hobbit: To the Bank and Back Again (I kid, I actually enjoyed the last one) Guardians of the Galaxy (I am somewhat unconvinced by the mid-credits scene in Thor 2, but it has people I like in it and sounds possibly crazy enough to be great)
I'm also cautiously looking forward to Into the Woods, which is one of my favorite musicals ever and which I really, really, really hope they don't screw up.

I loved Captain America: Winter Soldier. So far thats been the best movie of 2014 for me. Cant wait for Amazing Spider-Man 2, X-Men: Days of Future Past, Guardians of the Galaxy, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and I must also agree with Dumb and Dumber too. Lets hope it's as amazing as Im sure it will be. Anything would be better than Dumb and Dumberer. What an awful movie!

Got a buddy who owns a theater chain. Saw Godzilla in an early viewing for them.....and was tremendously disappointed. Now we don't always agree on movies but he had nothing but bad things to say about it
