Finally got my comics and Detective 30 was fantastic. The art is absolutely amazing and I am liking the tone of the story. I super excited for this run.

Looks like dark-Flash but still looks like Gotham. Man and Buch have done a great job making this title different than Snyder's and Capullo's while still being a viable Batman setting.

This is definitely giving Snyder and Capullo a run. Such a great Batman story. Love that he is using actual detective abilities! plus the art is jaw dropping!!

Anybody talking about #33? What an amazing book! If you have been wondering about Manpaul and Bucchelato's run on this title, wonder no more. Pick up all of the Icarus arc (30-33). 33 was the best Batman issue outside of Snyder and Capullo's run I have read in the New 52 (and I have read them all). The add-in pages at the end of the storyboards and art extras explaining how they put the stories together made that issue worth more than the 3.99 price. I was blown away by the art cover to end. The panel of Batman upside down was perfect. The fight at the beginning..wow. I had been reading Manpaul and Bucchelato's Flash before this. I thought Flash was good, but I didn't know they had this in them. Bravo!

It's a disappointment that we will have 2 months with out them in DC #35 and 36 as they are taking a break.

Lurve the art work, simply eye-catching and unique - great creative team, I like the writing, it's solid but I wonder if in the future DC could get them paired with another writer for a one-off project, someone or a project that pushes their art into areas they wouldn't take it themselves - Love the book thought, hope they are on it for awhile.

Can anyone tell me what's up with Bullock? In this Manapul/Buccelato run Bullock is a TOTAL dick to Batman, like all the time. I've been reading Batman, Detective, and Eternal since the beginning of the New52, and I can't recall them being so combative. Am I mis-remembering? Their relationship seems really, I don't know, wrong.

This run is the most interaction these two have had since the beginning of the New 52 and from what I can remember from pre-New 52 and even the Animated Series, Bullock has always been a dick to Batman. I know that the recent Anarchy issue he's a little more aggressive than usual, but I think thats on the back of Eternal and whats happened to Batman in that.
