Who is reading the series?
What do you think of previous runs on the book (new 52 and pre new 52)
I loved Snyder's run
I tried to read the first Tony S. Daniel trade but couldn't finish it.
Also what do people think of John Layman's and Jason Fabok's run on the book, i have heard mixed things about it.
And lastly who is going to read when Brian Buccellato and Francais Manpaul take over next month?

I was reading a the Layman run for a little but stopped, not because it was terrible but just for monetary reasons. Already having Batman on pull I didnt really feel the need to have 2 Batman books on a pull list.

I picked it up starting with 13. I think that is when Layman/Fabok took over. Like The Dark Knight, it has run hot and cold with me, but the second I would think about dropping it is when it would get good again. The Gothtopia arc in the last three books was OK. I like Scarecrow. I thought the Hurwitz/Finch Dark Knight arc with Scarecrow (10-15) was better than Gothtopia.
That being said, I have loved Flash from Buccaleto/Manapaul in the New 52. I am excited to see their take on Detective. Their run on Flash was colorful and entergetic.

I was REALLY close to dropping it before they announced the latest switch in the creative team. I am stoked so see what they do with the title. I actually liked Gothtopia quite a bit but wholeheartedly agree with you on the Dark Knight story being better. Issue 10 was so creepy it gave me the shivers.

Buccellato/Manapul are amazing collaborators and the New 52 Flash was one of the most consistently awesome titles. I haven't read any Detective since the relaunch, but I'm definately going to check it out because of the creators alone.

What do you think of previous runs on the book (new 52 and pre new 52) For me, Dini's run is GOAT. I recommend it not just for fans of TAS, but to every Batman fan. Great done-in-one stories that are all about Batman being Batman. At the moment I'm reading Greg Rucka's post-NML run. The stories really put the "Detective" in "Detective Comics." Rucka's Batman is very flawed, and kind of drops the ball a lot, but he seems very human. The pencils by Shawn Martinbrough and the limited color palette pop like crazy. Along with the graphic design on the covers, it really feels like DC was trying to bring Detective out of the 90's and succeeded in a big way. At some point they went back to more or less business as usual, but there was something in the air at the turn of the century that made it feel like mainstream comics were headed in bold new directions. This, X-Statix, Morrison's X-Men, etc. (I'm digressing here, but I feel like Marvel is back in this mode, trying to push the medium into a more diverse and colorful future, while DC is dragging it back into the 90's.) Me too. Especially the beginning and end of Black Mirror. Dick as Batman is such an interesting concept. Speaking of back to the '90's Tony Danial is garbage as a writer, and a Silvestri wannabe as a penciler. What a horrible way to start the New 52. Especially when Detective is supposed to stand side by side with the Snyder/Capullo Batman. Ugh. I've only read a few issues, but what I did read was pretty meh. Middle of the road writing with art that I don't care for. A step up from Tony Daniel, for sure, but nothing to get excited about. I'm pretty intrigued by this. I haven't read their Flash stuff, but from what I can tell, it could be a breath of fresh air for a Batman book.

I wish there was more Dick as batman and Drake team ups With Buccellato and Manpaul taking over expect it to be one of the best looking batman books. Even though there are some pretty good batman artists (Cappulo, Gleason, (Jae) Lee and even Reis in Justice League

I am excited for the creative team. Hoping I like it so I can keep another bat book on my pull list.

Just read 30. Beautiful art. Interesting story. I like the focus on parts of Gotham we haven't been getting lately. It adds depth to the landscape that sometimes features too many alleys and skyscrapers. Story seems to be very tightly focused just like what we saw in Flash. I'm onboard.
