Something Terrible is a short, autobiographical comic about recovery from childhood trauma and the power of fictional heroes.
"Something Terrible follows the effects of childhood abuse into my adult life, with the conflicting ideas of the Cycle of Abuse theory and the message of all good superhero stories, "You are who you choose to be," battled in my mind until I was finally, completely set free by the fictional characters I'd modelled my life on.
Since making Something Terrible available last fall, it has quickly become the most widely reviewed and highly acclaimed work I've ever released. I've been incredibly honored to find my very personal story so well regarded in and outside of my creative community, but more than that, I've been humbled and awed by how many readers around the world related so strongly to my life story, and found new solace in reading it.
My goal is to print 2000 copies of a new 36 page, high-quality, softcover edition (including a new foreword and additional behind-the-scenes materials), via Print Ninja, who have been helping me work out the logistics. The cover will be matte with spot-gloss, and the interior pages will be glossy. The final book should be priced at ten dollars, retail. I believe this goal is modest, achievable, and will cover the shipping costs for all donors, thanks to the quantity's unit costs, and leave me with a small stock to sell at future conventions."
Go check it out and see what you think.

Even though the target goal was already met, this looks like a really awesome comic that everyone should support!

They got 150% of their initial goal in 24 hours. Thats crazeballs! Already bought the digital version for so so cheap on his site but had to pick up an the physical copy to sit proudly on my shelf. Kickstarter is so amazing right now, I honestly think it could be responsible for some amazing talent breaching the "mainstream" comics scene in the next decade.

I read this today. It's really interesting. The art is great especially the splash page of all the 'heroes' (need to get it as a poster).
It's short and sweet with a powerful message. If you can get your hands on it do it
