The Wake #6
Hawkeye #15
Deadly Class #1
The Fantastic Four #1
Black Science #4
Those are probably my top 5 with an honorable mention going to Thunderbolts #22
The Wake #6 was kind of like a #1 issue, but without having to dump a ton of backstory as we already know how the world turned into a low quality water park. Our new heroine Leeward is pretty badass and is a cool character. There are also some interesting developments with the government and there place in all this. The final four issues to this series will be fantastic.
Hawkeye always seems to get back on track when the spotlight is on Clint and not Kate, although I love her, just not as a leading lady, but rather a supporting character. ....that last page....
Deadly Class is really shaping up to be a phenomenal series. I loved this issue, we learn a lot about the school, how it functions, who the kids are, the cliques, and who is shaping up to be Marcus's friends and his enemies.
James Robinson's Fantastic Four #1 was the first issue of Fantastic Four I've ever read (I've only started reading comics again in the last 6 months after taking a 12-15 year break when I was a little kid). This issue may not be a perfect issue, but it was damn good in my opinion. I'm a sucker for Fin Fang Foom so that was a nice little bonus. Each character has their moments in this issue and we learn about who they are, what makes them tick. I'm foreign to what's going on with Sue and Reed's daughter, Valeria, but its clear Sue is heartbroken over the matter. The emotions are well conveyed by Robinson. I felt for Sue. Definitely continuing with this.
Black Science continues to be a very good comic. I'm interested to see where the gang is headed now after the most recent dimension jump. I'm interested to know more about the character who appears in the last two pages.
Thunderbolts is just a whole mess of fun. As someone said earlier, She-Hulk isn't the only book when Charles Soule utilizes his law background. It looks like this story line is wrapped up and the gang is moving on, with Ghost Rider coming along for the ride.
