The Weekly thing is like the double shipping that marvel does.. drives me freaking batty.... smacks of money focused business... which does not both me,.. but they should be honest about it and say up front.. 'we want you to spend more money, and this is the easiest way to do so'

'we want you to spend more money, and this is the easiest way to do so' For me it depends. If the quality of the book is there, I'll buy it twice a month. Weekly though? At 4 bucks? Gonna take a lot for me to really be sold on it. If nothing else it means the trades should come out faster.

I am lucky I do not read Batman - You are talking and extra $12 per month on one book.. and it is not even a trade.. I spend enough on DC books already.. i am kind of glade several if my book are ending.. save some money

'we want you to spend more money, and this is the easiest way to do so' They are a business so it goes with out saying that there goal is to make money. Shipping more books more often is obviously a business strategy. I don't know how they can spell it out any more clearly. If you like it buy it if not don't. That's how I look at. No sense in complaining. That's the main reason I only buy one marvel book currently. I got tired of the double shipping so I dropped there books.

I dropped all marvel books except Deadpool and it was cause of the double shipping. I hated the constant artist shuffles that resulted from it and also think my monthly comic cost was going to be a certain number then being slammed with a huge bill as a result if 8 different books having double shipped. At least with DC it's a separate series. The regular titles always ship monthly. This is a special thing and they have done it before with 52. Because it's Batman is the only reason I am considering it otherwise it would be an easy pass. I also saw something else mention they heard Marvel is considering going to $4.99 books there's another reason I am glad I dropped a lot of there books. If DC was to follow suit I would probably be out if the hobby. I recent heard Batman Etenal issues will be $2.99.

I was happy to read in today's April Solicits that Batman: Eternal will in fact be 2.99. That makes it a lot more desirable in my eyes than if it would have been 3.99

Even with the team involved, it'd be a hard sell for 4 bucks an issue. I'm glad its 2.99. Hopefully the other weekly series follow suit.

I am assuming September for the 5 year later one as that's the anniversary of the new 52

If Eternal sells well they may move it to July but right now its scheduled for September. The other one is set for June/July right now (working on scripts can make timing iffy) but you never know. Expect to see 3-5 weekly series by the end of the year (Green Lantern is supposed to get one too)

I believe #1 comes out later in the month. Yes, thank you. Forgot about the FCBD issue. Future's End is starting with the zero issue on FCBD and will have its first issue in June. It WAS going to be later in May (and depending on scripts could very well squeak into May) but June/July (with June being the more likely answer) is where it's being teased right now. It's tough with these kinds of series because you need to write so much in advance. You have to remember that they announced Eternal in October with a planned launch in Feb, then March, then finally April where its being released. A lot can happen in a short amount of time. But I think having that FCBD issue anchor the series in some sort of direction will be great. Hopefully by then all the scripts will be done.
