What are the others ones about never heard about them As far as I know they are being released in print as well as digital. It's part of why they've cancelled a number of books in recent months. The other two books are future books. One is about the current DCU five years from now and the other is a Beyond/Way in the Future sort of book (a la Batman Beyond). More info will come with time but that's what's mostly known right now.

It would be awesome to get an issue of Batman every week. I have a feeling that the quality could take a hit (as well as my wallet). I'll probably pick up the first few issues and go from there. I already have Detective Comics, Batman, Batman: The Dark Knight in my pull so this might just be over kill. I haven't really heard anything else about the other two series though. I'll look into those. I think bi-weekly would be way better. Well I did a piece on Batman Eternal back when it was first announced and with five writers working on the book at once, hopefully it won't take a hit quality wise. If it were one author doing it all it would definitely take a quality hit, seeing as a lot of writers have trouble with bi-weekly, but with Scott Snyder, James Tynion, John Layman, Tim Seeley and Ray Fawkes working on it, I have faith. And I wouldn't worry about The Dark Knight for too much longer...it's cancelled in March. How is Layman's writing? I haven't had a chance to read any of his Detective stuff yet. And I don't know anything from Fawkes at all. Snyder great and Tynion's work that I've read has been pretty good. Seeley's work on Hack/Slash was a great read. So I'm really looking forward to their work.

I have a feeling that's what we're going to get with his side of the book more so than some of the other writers

I'm pretty excited to see what Batman: Eternal is all about. But my main worry about weekly titles is the price point, how many people can afford a full price comic that gets released every week? Marvel double shipping caused me to have to cull my pull list earlier this year. So DC need to be very careful here.

This Batman however so it will be hard for me to resist at least giving it a month or two. Does any one know more what it will be about? I just spent the last 20 minutes going over my pulllist. I have been trying to keep my comics costs to $50 a month so if this is $4 an issue x 4 a month that cuts a big piece of the pie. I love Batman but with Batman and now detective and this that will mean half if my pulllist will almost be bats. I have to decide it that something I want to do.

I'm not even thinking about the weeklies...I just want the main Batman title to maintain its consistent quality of writing, art, lettering, and coloring. I spend too much on comics as it is, weekly (even bi-weekly) series just stress me out.

I'm really hoping Eternal ends up being fairly self-contained stories each week, so I can pick it up if I have a lighter week and I like the writer/artist/character. I really don't want to commit to buying a title every Wednesday. I don't even like buying The Walking Dead every OTHER Wednesday right now (though story quality is also part of that...).

DC is planning a lot of things in 2014. One of those is ideas is weekly series. The first one, Batman: Eternal was announced at NYCC and would feature a rotating group of artists and writers but now we also seem to be getting more weekly comics in the form of Five Years Later and Future's End. What are your thoughts on weekly titles? Would you pick any of these titles up? I would be more interested if there will like the 99 cent digital versions. I don't know if I have the money of space for that many physical comics

Well Layman is no longer doing Batman: Eternal or rather he is doing 4 issues only....
This is his tweet about it just 5 mins ago: "So, yes, I am off Batman Eternal after 4 issues. On good terms with DC. Batman was great experience. Want to focus on CHEW & new stuff."
I wonder who is taking over or if just the remaining guys will continue.

Damn, I just picked up and read The Detective Vol 3 trade and really enjoyed it, so its a shame. I was really looking forward to seeing what he could do surrounded and collaborating with other great writers.

With a constantly rotating group of creators story and art continuity is going to be a problem with these titles. Along with the fact that its very difficult to keep a weekly book engaging without inevitably having "filler" issues. I really don't see this being all that successful.
