I picked up this issue one this week and was amazed at awesomeness of this book. The script is by Kel Symons and art by Matthew Reynolds. This is a pirate/ mercenary story that takes place in 1938, with art and colors that is almost perfect for this particular story. You also get a great introduction to the primary characters and a good idea of the overall setting in the first issue. I highly recommend you guys check this out if you get a chance.

I was really excited about this book before it came out. Now I read it and I can't tell if I like it or not. One part of me loves the Archer/Venture Bros. Type art, but I can't tell if this is supposed to be a semi-serious action story, or if it's supposed to be a comedy. I love the artwork so much though. It has a lot of potential so I won't be taking it off my pull just yet.
I also got really confused by the characters.

Same here as far as not sure what it's supposed to be, but I think I like that it's not so easily fit into a box. Going to stick it out for a few issues and see where it goes.
The art is an acquired taste ,but I like it.

It feels to me like the intent is a pulpy feel.
At least that's what I get.
I'll see it through to the end.

I loved this book. Old school matinee adventure type feel and the art was superb. With soft focus back-grounding some panels looked as if you were looking at a layered animation cel.
