So now that Uncanny X-Force and Cable and X-Force are done we get just the single series X-Force. I loved the 2 previous titles, but I wasnt sold on this issue at all. First #1 of Marvel. Now that I didnt like. Anyone else read this and feel the same way or opposite?

HATED it. Absolutely hated it. They give no explanation of why the other two teams left (especially Cable's side since that book had a great line-up and now Hope, Nemesis, Colossus, Forge, Boom Boom and Domino are all hung out to dry), the art is horrific (I get stylized but the proportions, facials and backgrounds were abhorrent) and the story is so cliche that I feel like it was written in his sleep. And what's up with Marrow's thoughts?
It sucks too because I really had high hopes for this book. A combined X-Force book could have been something great. Spurrior is a really great writer (X-Club is a perfect example) and there was so much promise but it feels like they just phoned something in to keep an X-Force title on the stands instead of taking a month or two off to really create an interesting book.
(Sorry to get so negative there but man...)

(Sorry to get so negative there but man...) I'm glad I am not alone on this, I didnt want to come off to harsh but I feel exactly the same way. I also HATE Cable's new look.. Marrow drove me crazy the whole time, I got half way through and just started skimming it... It stinks because I really enjoyed the other two runs, especially the team on Cable and X-Force. I was really enjoying the relationship between Domino and Colossus... For now it's play by ear and hopefully it'll get better so I can pick it up.

The weird shirt, disproportionate arms, built-in eye patch, really big eyes, odd coloring, small face or lack of any real distinguishing features? Take you're pick, there's plenty to dislike about the look. And Marrow? Baby, I don't know baby, it's not really my jam baby. It got old QUICK. When you start skimming an issue, counting the pages till its over, you know you have something bad on your hands. I'm staying far away from this book until either the art or the team changes. I too was a fan of CatXF. The dynamics between the whole team was great. I'm sitting here hoping that all the other characters from that team band together to create their own group. Wishful thinking but here's hoping. I hate being negative but sometimes a comic just really rubs you the wrong way. This was that.

The baby thing from Marrow was old after about 3-4 pages, after that I was just thinking ok, ok, enough please.... Sadly all comics cant be great, I hate being negative on comics because I love them but sometimes you just cant help it.

Her inner monologue is some of the most inane, annoying, free-form-jazz BS I've ever read and she was one of the three main reasons (art and story being the other) why I really couldn't stand this book.

Whew, I'm so happy I'm not alone when I say, I've read fewer worse comics. I haven't read a lot of x-force lately... so maybe that explains why I was so lost. The writing was just plain... bad.. and I hate saying that... but it was painful to read. Marrow and Fantomex's dialogue were hard to follow, choppy and flat out awkward. on a positive note, I REALLY dug the art and colors. It looked the way I'd like an X-Force title to look, sleek and with a slightly more serious tone. But other than that, not my cup of tea.

As long as Mar-ville still exists, I've read worse comics in my lifetime but this just reeks of phoning it in across the board which pissed me off more than anything. There are people who are trying to claw, kick and fight there way into this industry to get work, in yet something like this can get published. The more I think about the art, the more it COULD work, just not in the capacity it's being used now. There's a stark difference between Clayton Crain's X-Force and this version of X-Force. Dark and stylized can work, but with piss poor characterization and plotting, it can drag any book down, especially if they struggle with character design like with Psylocke or Cable. I've seen his work before done right but this is not one of those instances. It's like Greg Land. Usually he's a terrible artist (to most people) but if he's utilized in a proper way, he can be extremely talented. The opposite was done here. And the solicits for the upcoming issues, which focus on Marrow and Fantomex, don't really give me any hope. I wonder how many issues this series will get? My money is on 12.

This issue was down right dreadful, almost as if the writer was purposefully trying to do bad. The art was so so, but coming off the two previous series so soon it really should've made a slight transition from the previous series into this one. I felt like this issue would been better as an issue #2, not #1.

This is very disappointing. I loved Cable and the X-Force. That team was just worked so well with each other (Mainly Nemesis and Forge). But to hear this... I dunno.

Well if you take out the heart, the charming dialogue, great character interactions, intense action, fun and all except one member of the team than it's basically the same book...

SO i got a chance to read it last night... The best Part was a single Dr. Nemesis panel. I didn't even think he was in the book. Also i guess I missed the last issue of the final cross over, so I'm just really confused all around.
