Batman #28, All-New X-Men #23 and Superior Spider-Man #27 were awesome this week! Batman has just made me want to pick up Batman: Eternal. Loved this issue of All-New, great funny moments (mainly involving Rocket) and was nice surprise at the end (which is getting it's own book now it seems). Superior was awesome...loved the game between Otto and "Norman" (I still believe there is a twist there) and nice tidbit piece of information about Ghost-Peter that might come into play in Amazing Spider-Man.

Out of everything I read so far, Bunker #1 is by far my favorite pull this week.

I only picked up a couple of things this week, and I totally blanked at remembering that She-Hulk #1 was out and for some reason missed it on the rack, so I'll have to grab that later. I got Thor: God of Thunder 19 and The Royals: Masters of War #1.
The premise of The Royals is pretty interesting. It takes place in an alternate history WWII where the royal families of Europe actually have super-powers. I liked the first issue enough to pick up the second when it comes out - it's only a six-issue run.

I'll give some more love to The Bunker #1. I had been picking up the digital installments, and am excited that Oni Press has picked it up. The remastered #1 adds some nice, subtle coloring to the original digital mini-issues. For me, the only weak spot in the issue comes from the intro feeling a little rushed and confusing, but that's gradually resolved.
I also loved She-Hulk. As a lawyer myself, I love the setting and I'm certainly glad my life isn't as stressful and crazy as Jennifer's. This is in part because I don't work at a big firm, and maybe also because I'm not a superhero. And Javier Pulido's art really grew on me throughout the issue.

This week I really dug She-Hulk #1. My mother worked at the prosecutors office for 19 years so I have fond memories growing up around cops and lawyers. This book worked on a lot of different levels and its nice to see Jennifer get her own series again, especially one that's really good.
I also really enjoyed Thor and Spider-Man as well.

Yep i also said it on the She-Hulk thread, but i love this. This and a couple of Red Lanterns issues are the only thing i've read of Charles Soule so far but i really like his writing and i need to check out more of his stuff, fortunately he's on a lot of books lately so he's hard to miss . Haven't read anything else yet.

The Mercenary Sea and She-Hulk take home the prize this week for best books and covers.

This week was a pretty solid week all around. I really enjoyed Superior 27, Batman 28 was pretty good, but honestly not a stand out for me. All New X-Men has been picking up. I really loved the panel layout on this one.
Nightwing and Batgirl were perhaps the biggest standouts this week. Batgirl has some of the best art I've ever seen, and I've said that about almost every issue of Batgirl. The detail in this issue fits both the tone and story for this comic. Aside from one page that I really didn't care for, this is one of the most well drawn issues of the series to date. The story was dark and gripping, and it really ties in well with the Bat Ethos.
Bat-girl is hands down my book of the week.

Thor: god of thunder hands down. This new arc is starting off VERY solid, and I'm happy to see old Thor back in the mix.

Woah. I expected this to just be "Batman #28" in every post.
I guess that's just how much I loved it. It really got me excited for Batman Eternal. Also: Manifest Destiny is amazing as always, and I really liked The Fuse as well.
This was a good week for sure.

Heyo,
So this is what I picked up this week that was 'new':
Superman/Wonder Woman #5 Night of the Living DeadPool #1 and #2 Injustice Gods Among Us: Year Two #2 Green Lantern/Red Lantern #28 Legenderry #2 Letter 44 #4 New Avengers #14 Justice League of America #12 Batman #28 Batgirl #28 Suicide Squad #28
2 of the titles, NotLD and Injustice were impulse buys. Though I'm now firmly on board with them for as long as they last. NotLD is a seriously great read, especially for someone who is tired of the normal Zombie drama. The way they poke fun at all the usual zombie tropes as well as zombie pop culture is just a riot. There a great panel on page 4 where they've got word balloons covering the head of a pop icon(not going to give it away here but it's a super nifty little touch).
Of the rest of them I'm most excited to read Batgirl, Suicide Squad, Legenderry and Letter 44. I'm hoping New Avengers will finally start to pick up some momentum as it's been basically the same thing for the past several issues.

This week Superior Spider-man and All New X-men where great continuations of their respective stories, solid issues both. Avengers was somewhat off form I thought, hope the Avengers titles pick up again soon or I'll be off the Avengers/new/world. My stand out issues this week where Drumhellar and Hinterkind though. Hinterkind feels like its finally starting to hit its stride I can feel the plot pulling me in I'm happy to report. Drumhellar was probably my favorite issues this week though (bearing in mind I haven't read Batman #28 yet) Spoilers: this issue was great, starting with a visual guide to producing toilet wine; prison style - psychedelic apparitions (before they take the peyote)... ghost dinosaurs, possession - need I say more? I haven't even gotten to the briefcase-baby. I hope the series keeps up this direction and momentum - the last page reveal (spoiled on the cover) was great!
