Anyone? I loved it, not sure how others who aren't Loki fangirls feel about it but for me it was a great continuation of the character established in Journey into Mystery and Young Avengers while also being a new start for the character. There were a few places where I laughed out loud. The last page was a total curveball I did not see coming, and I'm really interested how [SPOILERS]the two Lokis are going to play out.[/SPOILERS]

Have not read it yet, this along with Punisher were on the bubble and I decided to wait until next week to get them after seeing reviews. So far I hear good things from both.

I too was waiting for some reviews on it. I'm not super familiar with the character so I was a little hesitant to dive into it.

I think it is a good introduction to the character and what this book is going to be about. It probably helps if you've read JiM and Young Avengers, but I don't think that's necessary. I definitely think the book was designed to be friendly to people like me who primarily know the movie Loki and aren't coming in with a lot of knowledge of the character from the comics. I think if you liked Tom Hiddleston's Loki in the movies you'll like this book. It isn't a clone of his Loki but it does incorporate that more sympathetic portrayal with regard to the conflict between who he's been and who he wants to be, and the end really sets up an interesting direction for the series.

my review of Loki will be up in the morning, but spoilers for anyone reading now: i really liked it. i honestly wasn't going to pick it up before i read the All-New Marvel NOW Point One thing, but that book convinced me that this was something that i needed to check out. Will definitely be picking it up going forward.

I definitely agree that reading Gillen's Journey Into Mystery and Young Avengers would enchance a readers appreciation of the series, but as long as you have a general concept of who Loki is, then anyone should be able too enjoy it. I'll be picking up a few more issues for sure.

I bought this book and really liked it. It will be interesting to see where it goes. I like the Loki mystique that you just never quite know what he's up to. When he's bad he may be doing it for good reasons and when he's good it's probably because he's trying to sucker punch you. The only thing you can count on is his unpredictability.
I'm looking forward to seeing where this goes. This is not my favorite book but it was fun and I liked it enough to get issue 2 when it comes out. It was worth the money and time.
I would recommend it to anyone even if they just have a vague understanding of who Loki is they'll get it.

Going to pick it up this week. Thor's my favorite Avenger and I'm a sucker for anything involving Asgard or Norse mythology.

LennyReid sold me on the book and so I went out and picked up the first issue (plus 2.99, can't argue with that). I really enjoyed it. I wouldn't say it's a perfect book or that it blew me out of my socks but it was definitely a fun and funny book that I'm interested in reading through at least the first arc.

I liked it but a little confused with the ending First off, I am so invested in this comic that it actually makes me really happy to see so many others enjoyed it! [SPOILERS IF YOU HAVEN'T READ IT] Regarding the ending, I think it plays into what we saw in Journey into Mystery with Ikol and Kid Loki and continuing through Young Avengers. There's been this theme of Loki having other versions of himself out there, whether it's his old villainous self in the case of Ikol, or his guilt in the case of the appearances of Leah and Kid Loki in Young Avengers. It seems to manifest as whatever Loki's trying not to be at the moment. In Agent of Asgard, it seems like Loki is trying to reconcile those two sides, the hero and the trickster villain, and become something new that's a combination of both. My speculation is that Loki knew that the All-Mother would open that jar and knew exactly what would happen when it was opened, and it plays into whatever plan he has for the rest of this series/arc.

I thought it was a great first issue and yes it does tie in a lot of elements from previous series which I thought was good. It had brilliant layers to the story which gave first time readers a cohesive intro to the character but also had some nice pay offs for long time fans. Give me issue 2 .NOW!!!!

I can't wait for the second issue next week either! Al Ewing just linked to a preview of it on his Twitter today - www.comicosity.com/preview-loki-agent-of-asgard-2/.
