Marvel's other big film hitting at the end of the year is Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier. Not only do we get to see Cap and Black Widow team up again, but we also get the introduction of The Winter Soldier and The Falcon. What are your thoughts on the film? Are you excited for it?

This may be the movie I am most nervous about. The Winter soilder arc is one if my favorite ever. I know the movie can't follow the comics exactly but I couldn't bear to have the winter soilder name attached to a crappy movie. High hopes but worried none the less.

I loved Brubaker's run, as well as Winter Soldier's solo title he had before Marvel Now so I'm definitely concerned, but it seems like it could be good. I love the cast, the effects look good and more than anything, Cap has surprised me in films so far (or at least ones not from the 80s or starring Reb Brown) so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.

I think this movie will be the best of Marvel's second wave. It looks and feels like Ed Brubaker's famous run, which I'm a huge fan of.

I haven't read Brubaker's run yet, so I don't have any preconceived notions, except that the trailer makes this look ABSOLUTELY UNBELIEVABLE!

I agree with the sentiment that this will most likely be the best of the 2nd Wave films.

I am more excited for this than Avengers 2. It looks spectacular, Marvels 2nd wave is looking really, really good so far.

Guy,
I feel what you're saying!!!
Sharon Carter...Agent 13... in a movie!!!
Many months back, we all opined on what we felt the best of the Phase One "lead-in to Avengers" films were, and Stephanie and I selected Captain America. I know that it's too early to tell, but "Cap 2" is starting to look as if it going to be VERY GOOD!!

Various reports have said that it has done very well in test screens, which may be why Cap 3 is already being discussed.

I know that it probably won't happen, but I'd love to see the "Cap of the Fifties" story arc on film, but what might be more of a possibilty would be...wait for it... THE INVADERS!!! Wouldn't you love to see Cap, Namor and the original Human Torch battle the Nazis! Since the Torch has already been established in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the parts are in place! ("What?" I can hear you saying--well, in Captain America, check the Stark Expo Scene as Steve and Bucky enter--there's a red-suited guy in a tube marked "Professor Horton's Synthetic Human"!!)

It's amazing that nobody seems to notice that!
