I have had EA Access since it came on to the X1 and feel it is worth every cent.
What is it?
It is a subcription based game setup that gives you bonus for EA games. Not like the Uplay or what ever they call it now this one has a good list of features. First you get discounts on all digital EA games and DLC, early access to EA games for up to 11 days and it doesn't have to before the realise date it can be after if you just want to try it, and they have a vault of EA games that you can download and play for free. The games are downloaded and played locally not streamed.
How much?
You can pay $6.99 a month or $39.99 a year. (Prices in AUS dollars so cheaper most other places.) For that you get a 10% discount on the games and DLC'S, the early access to any EA game and all the games in the vault. The problem is just like with any subcription program if you stop playing you loose it all. You do keep all the games and DLC'S you paid for with the discount but your early access games won't work nor will any vault games you don't own.
How do I use it?
OK so this is what I do. A game is coming out form EA so I download the early access trial (This is just called a trial but you actually get the hole game just for a trial time span and any progress you have make you get to keep.) I will then play it and decide if it's a game I want. I then go buy the disk and continue to play once the realise date has come and buy the DLC'S I want with the discount. Once the game comes to the vault or if I'm not playing it I will trade in the disk copy and that money goes to my subcription for the year. Also if the game comes up on a really good deal and I want to own it forever I'll buy it digitally.
Games?
The vault already has a good list of games to play such as Battlefield 4 and Hardline, Titanfall, Plants Vs Zombies Garden warfare, Need for Speed, Dragon age, and a hole heap of EA sport games if you are in to that aswell as a heap more.
You can check out more info or sign up at www.ea.com/eaaccess/ but remember it is only on the X1 so don't pay if you don't have one.
