Since this is a topic dedicated to new comics, I figured I'd gauge what everybody's favorite comics were this week. It was a light week, yes, but there were plenty of great books released this week. What were some of your favorites?
Mine: New Avengers #13 Red Lanterns #26 Rocket Girl #3 Superior Foes of Spider-Man #7

The guilty nostalgic pleasure on my pull list is He-Man. #9 was great, the current what lies within arc is really good. Guardians of the Galaxy #10 was a fun issue full of Angela and Gamora bonding whilst kicking ass. Peter Quills haircut on the cover has a lot to answer for though! Tom Strong and the Planet of Peril #6 was a good conclusion and wrap up to the series Dead Boy Detectives #1 was a fun read and good start to the series. Will definitely be picking this up again. New Avengers #13 was good, really enjoying what Hickmans doing with the book. Other stuff I read that was average - The Twilight Zone #1, Avengers #24, Justice League Dark #26

Really loved guardians this week, great story, great artwork. I didn't really like the noir style of the last few issues. Absolutely loving the Angela/Gamora interaction. New Avengers was also great. I think the story is gonna become so epic this year after all the groundwork that was laid last year. Really excited!!!

Rocket Girl #3 killed it! AGAIN. If anybody isn't already go listen to the PODCORN Podcast by the books creators Amy Reeder & Brandon Montclare. They talk a ton about some of the processes that went into the book and how they approached certain aspects its all pretty rad.
I've been catching up with a ton of stuff so that's pretty much the only new release I read.

I really need to get caught up on GotG. I love the team and I love the characters but my shop always seems to be out whenever I get there. I'm definitely gonna start picking up the trades though.

New Avengers and Guardians Of The Galaxy for me too. Hickman can do no wrong for me at the moment. His Manhattan Projects is similar in that it seems like he's got a Bible-sized story that he's had three lifetimes to weave together.
Just put down Forever Evil: ARGUS which was pretty solid. The first issue wasn't promising as a whole but every ending has hooked me in.

Fables #136 and Baltimore: Chapel of Bones #1. Fables was part 5 of the Camelot arch which is ticking over nicely, there was a lot of set up in this issue so I'm expecting big pay off's for next issue and the conclusion of the arch. Similarly Baltimore feels as though its headed for a conclusion of sorts, this issue bought together several characters from various threads of the Baltimore plot and pitted them against each other, really fantastic issue and definitely my pick for the week. The pacing, art, tone and plot through this series have been impressive, even by Mignolas standards. Dead Boy Detectives was also pretty good, the opening with the heist through me a little but i quickly got into the story, so I'm on board for the next at least. Avengers.now was a little hit and miss with me, the tone seemed to vary through out and left me feeling a little disjointed with the story. Though I enjoyed the second half of the book post Ironman 3030! New Avengers though I thought was one of the weaker issue of this series, the jumping around between worlds and times was not executed as well as say Avengers.now and the art switch ups didn't seem to lend themselves to the story they where portraying. I'm hoping for a return to form for New Avengers next month!

This week wasn't a huge one for me really.
But my top 3 were: 3. Rocket Girl #3 2. Forever Evil #4 1.. Batman: The Dark Knight #26. (The silent issue was a welcome and awesome idea. Worked well with Batman)
Next week will be Much bigger for me.

I was a little bit uneasy about it after I saw a preview for it, but after reading it I'm sure it'll stay on my pull list for a while. It's super fun, to say the least.

I'm going through a Steampunk phase in both my comics and prose right now.

I was surprised at how much I loved JL Dark #26. It's quietly been one of the best books in Forever Evil!
