I loved, loved, loved Gail Simone's run on batgirl the writing & artwork so I was wondering if I enjoyed this run of batgirl will I enjoy Babs Tarr's batgirl of burnside run?
Is the writing & artwork similar?

I loved, loved, loved Gail Simone's run on batgirl the writing & artwork so I was wondering if I enjoyed this run of batgirl will I enjoy Babs Tarr's batgirl of burnside run? Is the writing & artwork similar? Thomas, I love them both, but they are very different in tone and execution. Ms. Simone's run was centered on telling tales about the darker elements of super-heroic life, yet always showed Barbara Gordon as someone trying to make a difference for everyone, although she had trouble securing happiness for herself. The "Batgirl of Burnside" is a much lighter construction, where-in Barbara has moved past those struggles into a new period of her life as a grad student; those previous events still inform her character, and there is still plenty of super-heroic action and intrigue (with a nice focus on Ms. Gordon's intellect and skills as a detective), but the sun actually shines over the Gotham City suburb of Burnside, so it's a nice change-of-pace. Hope that helped!

Bob definitely summed it up very well. Both runs are completely different in tone, however both are great in their own right. I suggest giving the Batgirl of Burnside run a go to see what you think, I myself liked both runs.
