Started reading some New 52 Earth 2 and Worlds Finest. Enjoyed their first arcs which i picked up as Convergence came out, only caught the start of that but heard the main book was Earth 2 character central.
I was looking to see if anyone knew which arca or issues were essential to getting the story of this New 52 version of Earth 2 as I don't have an unlimited budget but enjoy the concept of these characters and their world. I understand Batman/Superman might have something to do with them or at least cross over, and I really would like to follow Helena and Kara wherever they go.
Not too fussed about how good the writing is with particular books but if i can find fairly cheap id like to jump in and out at the "big" moments and events from Earth 2, Worlds Finest, Batman/Superman and any other related books to this current iteration of these characters from the start, through Convergence and into mow Earth 2 Society.
Any help greatly appreciated
Mike

Hey Mike
Not sure about Worlds Finest as I wasn't on that book, but it sounds like you want Earth 2 Vol 1 for the character intros, then skip the rest of Robinson's run (Vol 3 is useful but not essential) and jump to Taylor on Vol 4 and beyond.
Batman/Superman's link to Earth 2 was just the first arch (Issues 1-4), I believe, but I dropped it after the first arch.
I'm not sure of how much of Earth 2: Worlds End is essential, as that seemed like it was treading water for a long while.
Hope this helps.

Mike, Worlds' Finest was a book I was really enjoying (see this review here ), but when both Kevin Maguire and George Perez left over "artistic differences" with DC's front-office, I quit the book too, as even though i was digging the story by Paul Levitz, the art became very "pin-uppy', and I couldn't support it any longer. I didn't read the last few issues (which is a shame), but through the first dozen-or-so issues, it was a great "buddy book" with two fabulous female leads, although it was set on "our" Earth, but with many nods to what had happened on Earth-2 through flashbacks. Hope this helped, Bob
