So they updated the app today with all the other big news, and I have to say I kinda hate it.

Out of interest, what don't you like? I've only had a very superficial look at the updated app, but so far it either seems the same of with some (optional) extra features for browsing your whole collection through something other than the tiny "Purchases" column.

Requires a lot of extra steps just to get to a screen where I can get to my downloaded book under a listing by series instead of having them listed entirely by single issues. It will just take some getting use to I guess.

the list by series is in the My Books section still. there is a drop down on the right side that lets you toggle between your entire library and what you have downloaded. personally my gripe is the "in progress" section. I acknowledge its right to exist, but not above my "recently purchased" smart list. "recently purchased" is how I get the books I want to read the fastest and that damn "in progress" section is throwing off my game update: found it. that was no very intuitive. go to the in progress smart list, tap "see all" and it will show what was (in my case) a list of 76 books I stopped reading on the last page. tap the 3 dots in the upper right and tap "select". the screen will change slightly, tap the 3 dots again and tap "select all". tap the 3 dots again and tap "mark read", and it will flush your in progress list. yowza.

I really hate the look, seems like you can do all the stuff you used to but it's more of a pain. Also, it didn't update new books right away, had to shut down the app and restart it.

It didn't do that for me, but it did take forever to build a library before it would let me browse the 10 or so books I have on the device. I have several thousand in my collection, so there is a fair bit to catalogue, but it should be much easier to either bypass that or force it into the background. I do like the new smart lists, though.
