I know there's people who are most likely reading this so I wont ask who, but would you classify this as Marvel's top book at the moment? There's a few others that I feel give it a good run for its money but right now this is my absolute favorite to read every time it's out. It's my favorite Thor run after Simonson's, just love everything about it. Hopefully Jason Aaron's run on this is as long as possible.

I loved everything up until this dark elf business that's going on now. I was amazed by the god killer stuff! I would actually say it was in my top 5 for 2013 for sure. I'm definitely not about to stop picking it up but I hope they take a new direction soon.

Only read the God Butcher issues so far but its really amazing stuff. Jason Aaron kills it on everything i've read so far and Esad Ribic's drawings are like pieces of art in my opinion.

This is the first Thor book I've ever really read. It's not my top book but it's damn near close. Love what I heard is upcoming for the title

This is definitely one of Marvels top 5 books for sure. I'm sure editorial forced them to do a Malekith story because of the movie, but the arc concluded this week and Aaron will get more control again. The next arc looks pretty amazing from what I've seen in the previews.

I haven't read any of it but my brother swears by it. I'll have to read his books next time he's in town.

This is my top book currently being put out, so many people forget about Jason Aaron when talking about the best writers out there but he is one of the most consistent I've come across.

This is my top book and I've read hundreds of thor books and this is right up there with the simonson run and my personal fav fear itself for pure thorish heroism! Looks like the next arc switches to young thor who was great in the god butcher arc so keep em coming mr Aaron!!

Do any other runs compatr to this one? I never read Thor before this because my only experience was with him in the original avengers comics. He was such a dry character I never has any urge to follow him, when I saw a new series was launching with marvel now I gave it a shot and was amazed

Do any other runs compatr to this one? I never read Thor before this because my only experience was with him in the original avengers comics. He was such a dry character I never has any urge to follow him, when I saw a new series was launching with marvel now I gave it a shot and was amazed I really loved 'the mighty thor' run that starts before the 'fear itself' event. 6 issues then into fear itself. I would read fear itself and all of the journey into mystery fear itself tie-ins as the two stories intertwine beautifully. Then this run leads into a mini series called everything burns which ties back to events that happened in the journey into mystery fear itself tie-ins. It's abit hickmen-esque in scale and I loved it.

Jason Aaron has brought a great sense of humour and fun to this series, especially in the interplay with three Thors. the God butcher stuff was immense (it had gods riding on space sharks for crying out loud!), but as others have said, the current arc has lacked a little of magic the first 12. hopefully it'll pick up again.

It's definitely one of Marvel's best books, probably THE best during the God Bomb arc. And after that masterpiece, issue #12 was just a fill in issue (with the amazing Nic Klein on art) and it had more heart and sense of wonder than anything I've read in a long time. Basically, those first 12 issues made Thor one of my favorite characters and made Jason Aaron and Esad Ribic two creators I will follow anywhere. I agree the Accursed arc that followed was not as good but the bar had been set very high. Ribic is returning soon and I expect the glory of those first two arcs will as well.

Like everyone said the Accursed arc wasnt as good as the God Killer/God Bomb arc but it was still enough to get my money. Can't wait for the next arc, looks friggin amazing. Jason Aaron can take all my money.
