I'll start by saying Tony , for as long as I've been on this forum, both directly and indirectly we have disagreed on almost everything comic and comic book movie related. But I couldn't agree more with that previous post. Why is there such a general attitude toward superhero/comic book movies over the past year or so that is really hopeless? I'll be more specific: It feels like since the first Avengers, the expanded universe of comic book movies has grown massively (and has announced much more in the future) plus the TV world, there has been an attitude of "Is there an over saturation of superhero movies?" and "will people get sick of them?". But that was just from general movie review/pop culture websites and so on. Now it's comic book fans. It's only been a VERY short time since all this started and already people are saying "Oh no, is it too much now?". Not enough. Too much. Not good enough. How spoiled do we need to be? We don't need movies. As comic book fans, comics should be and are enough. Movies are just a bonus. And we may not like them all, thats just statistical fact with movies in general. But who cares. Its out there. I don't like the Marvel movies much at all. Not as comic book movies exactly, just as movies in general. But the fact there is a Marvel universe on screen with interconnecting stories and characters? Are you kidding? It's amazing. There are worse things to complain about. It's that same attitude of music fans complaining when a band they love goes "mainstream" with a song. Doesn't diminish the quality of the songs you loved previously.

Oh my yes, as comic fans we should be basking in this. We, as a collective, have been ridiculed, bullied, and chastised for our love of comics. Now they're #1 movies, critically acclaimed TV shows, and have characters (not just the big names) adored by the general populace. When did we ever think we'd see a Drax action figure at Walmart? I for one will bask in the glow as long as possible, and will relay that to everyone that will listen (especially kids). Ride her until she bucks us, like some stuff, don't others, but there's no point in tearing ourselves down.
