Now that Wolverine and the X-Men is coming to an end I wondered what everybody feels about the series, favourite moments or issues etc. Personally this book was the first ongoing I read and I loved how just plain FUN it is. Bonkers and campy and just wonderful but still managed to have great stories and felt like the X-Men's contribution to creating and developing new characters in a similar vein to Young Avengers. My best moment has to be the awesome moment in the Murder Circus arc when Kitty Pryde has all her X-Men behind her ready for action with the best battle cry ever!

I'm right there with you on this series. It's one of the few series I've actually collected every issue and never thought once about dropping it. The characters have been awesome and I really look forward to them going more in depth with the students in the next volume. #24 was probably my favorite issue.

One of my favorite X-books of the last couple of years.
Its funny and its got great characters, both new and old with Quentin Quire and Broo as my favorites. Kind of sad though that Jason Aaron is leaving this book, his writing was awesome on this book and totally different than his other work on Scalped and Thor God of Thunder i think.
Favorite issue of mine is 19, in which Kitty is trying to hire a new teacher which is hillarious, but gotta love the Doop issue too which is drawn by Mike Allred.

I forgot to give a shout out to the Annual as well. Outside of the Avengers tie-ins it was the best Infinity tie in for the event and still managed to stay true to the original series.

Love this series. I think the Hellfire Saga was my favorite arc and my favorite moment has to go to Iceman becoming Ice-Voltron. Actually this whole series really made me love Iceman. I'm sad Aaron is leaving but I know he and Jason Latour (who is taking over writing) are good friends so hopefully some of the Aaron magic will remain. Also, Latour wrote the last arc of Winter Soldier and it was AWESOME so I'm excited to see what he'll do here.

ditto on the love. i've also collected it since the beginning, and this is the series that introduced me to Jason Aaron, who is now a favorite.
i really loved Quentin Quire in this book. He might be my favorite X-character right now.
i'm sad it's ending, but it's been a great ride!

What did you guys think about this weeks issue? Personally I thought it was one of the better issues of the series.

I got the Doop issue in a Grab Bag of comics (25p per issue). Loved it.

Almost read all of the Hellfire Saga arc and i think its my favorite arc of the series. What i think is so great about it is that its all been building up to this since the first issue and the art by Nick Bradshaw in this arc is the best i've seen by him so far. Really enjoyable to read!

The relaunch this week was really good. I like Quentin a lot. If the book is half of his story I'm more than okay with it. This character has been around for a while. I'm glad to see him possibly progressing to more than just a side character.

The Aaron run was so incredible. Bringing back Quentin Quire brought me to the book, and the first arc was so incredible and hilarious that I couldn't drop it, even when it faltered a little bit through and post AVX. Of course, it got back on track with the Hellfire saga, and hasn't missed a step since. I don't think anyone since Morrison has breathed new life into the stale world of X-Men like Aaron did with this run. (If anyone has, please point me in that direction.) My heart broke when Broo went feral, and Aaron was skilled enough to make me believe that he might be stuck that way, and that Idie would never find her way back from the bad guys. When things went back to status quo, I was happy and relieved (instead of feeling annoyed or cheated the way I might when lesser creators attempt similar stories). I think my favorite moment of the whole thing was in the time capsule issue, when we saw Eye Boy, possibly the lamest and least impressive of the students, as Eye Man, a full-fledged X-Man, realizing his potential under Wolverine's tutelage. Nick Bradshaw's terrific art was always a highlight, as well. Terrific series!

Issue 1 for the new series shows a lot of promise, I'm extremely happy with the decision to focus more on the young X-men.

New Number one was ok, not bad not great, but throwing the P word around makes it hard to ignore. Though, those seeds were sown in Battle of the Atom, it's about the only thing that makes me jump up and down for this one... and I am jumping up and down.

Aarons run will always hold a special place in X-men history for me I'm sorry to see him leaving the book, as well as Amazing X-men. I think the X-universe needs writers like Aaron and Bendis. I picked up the new #1 and thought it was pretty average. It was like an annual or special written by and up and coming team. The characters all seemed a little off for me, the dialogue particularly. I have/had high hopes for this series and will certainly stick with it in hopes it starts hitting its stride but so far I am sadly unimpressed. It might be that my expectations where a little too high? Time will tell.
