I m so glad steph and Bobby said they are interested. I hope the pinks and purple don't turn any of you off because this book is pure bliss for a fan like me. Me and my girl have bonded over the show since we were kids. So needless to say we had a blast reading the issue.
I hope some of you give it a chance, the art is STUNNIG and the story s ok far is a blast. Pick it up guys n gals, please!

Picked it up and hope to be able to share it with my daughter. She found my wife's original Jem dolls + the Rockin' Roadster (sadly the battery connectors have corroded so the tape player doesn't work anymore) and is a big fan. I am hoping she will get into this, too.

I'm so glad you and yours are getting into it!
I forgot to add how much my daughter loved it. Other than one "badass" dropped, it's safe for kids. She made me go to my shop and make sure i added this to the pull. Not only did she make me add it to the pull, she made sure we get 3 copies a month so that we can as a family read it together.
I call her the enforcer. She proclaimed that Wednesdays are pizza and comic night. And that any failure of participation will be dealt with accordingly. She's way too smart for her age I'm in trouble.

I finally got along reading the first issue and I wanted to like it more than I did. I never saw the original series as a kid, so I have no clue how close it is to the original. But it felt just too junior /small kids show to me... you know, like those kids shows I sadly outgrew. But nevertheless I believe I am just not the right peer group. My nieces would love the issue, I am sure. The art is soo amazing I adore it, I love the diversity of the book, I love that it is kids friendly. For the plot, I am a little underwhelmed. but hey, I'll give it another try next month.
