I'm going get to Harley today after work. I had a chance to read speed force last night and...... wow, it wrapped up nicely. Full of beers and character.... all I'm gonna say is.... I really really really miss Wally West.

I'm reading Speed Force tonight when I get home - cannot wait, love pre-52 Wally so much as a character and it sounds like they delivered

Speed Force was pretty good, it was definitely Wally so they got the characterization right for me. It might actually be the best I've seen his relationship / link with his children handled as I was never keen on the 'hey Wally's back and he's older, with kids' but they really pulled it off and made it a strength.
They played a bit loose with Wally's speed powers [no explosion when he vibrated through an object / 0 to half-speed-of-light from a lying position] but I'm always willing to give writers creative freedom, as I'm the one mentally stuck in Waid / Morrison's Flash run - it's not their fault.

Haha Fastback was pretty awesome, I really hope this sells well and DC decides to have a Speed Force title, Wally, the Kids and a supporting cast starting with a super-fast turtle baby sitter!

That would make me so happy! I would love it to be in continuity, but i will take anything at this point. A Sensation comics type book with Wally and the other flash fam would be incredible!

Totally agree. I haven't really read much of The Flash but these Speed Force books have been a delight. I'd be in.
Do I detect a little dig at the current Wonder Woman MO through this alt-version in the book... or am I reading too much in to things?

The Flash books they've been putting out have made me very happy. I don't love all the execution but the concepts of having these family characters back is something I have sorely missed. If you want more of this check out the Mark Waid run. It deals with all these characters in a wonderful way. The Geoff Johns stuff leans a little darker, but is still a wonderful take on the character and mythos.
The New 52 Flash stuff has been good, but taking those surrounding characters away has made him less appealing to me.

My first foray into comics was the 80s launch of mike baron's wally west flash series. I fell in love instantly, i own every issue from the beginning of that, through mark maids run, right up to flash rebirth and to the present.. Needless to say wally has a very special place in my heart (im sure my avatar is some indication lol). Im gonna break out some of those issues when i get home, its been too long since i've re visted them.

Any enjoy any of the preview issues for June, in the back ups?? Judging by the few I read I'm in for starfire, detective and green arrow (although as long as it's published I'll buy every GA issues). They were all fantastic.

Even a few more pages, as the ending just screams out the fun possibilities of the fish-out-of-water style that seems to be going for!

Also can we get a Oracle / Nightwing on-going by Gail Simone - just so satisfying to see characters handled so well, I was waiting for the inevitable [Nightwing or Oracle] has to fail to show-case how badass the other character is... nope Gail let them both shine in very different ways - executed to perfection.
I noticed that this story told us that after dome-world their city certainly continued although on a few re-readings I notice you can't pick up if its on dome-world or back in their own universe / timeline.

I loved the 0 issue of Convergence, had a real Crisis on Infinite Earths feel. Then 1 onwards has just felt like Earth 2, which I don't read so none of it has any resonance with me. But this weeks issue 6 was awesome. Lots of good fist pump moments and I get the feeling the final 2 issues will be nice and action packed.
