Although Image Comics does a fantastic job publishing and promoting creator owned comics, I have really enjoyed many Oni Press titles as well. These include newer books like Letter 44 from Charles Soule (and I'm excited that Oni will be publishing Joshua Hale Fialkov's The Bunker series starting next month), to long-standing titles like Wasteland and especially many series from Greg Rucka like Queen and Country.
Anyone else reading books from Oni Press that you're enjoying?

Just Letter 44. What I love about Charles Soule is I didn't even realise how many Charles Soule books I'm reading or have read. Starting Strange Attractors right now and loving Superman/Wonder Woman. Also just tried the Thunderbolts 20.NOW from him.
Letter 44 is really great though. Really wanna see some aliens or whatever the hell they are though

The only Oni Press book I'm currently reading is Letter 44. I'm going to read issue 3 this weekend sometime but I really enjoyed the first two issues. Charles Soule is going to have a big 2014. I picked up Thunderbolts #19 and #20 and absolutely love it, the addition of Ghost Rider in issue 20 is great. I need to look into more books by Oni, any recommendations from anyone?

I need to look into more books by Oni, any recommendations from anyone? One recommendation would be Joshua Hale Fialkov's The Bunker. He originally published the comic digitally at www.thebunkercomic.com/ but Oni Press picked up the series. The first 5 mini-chapters are still available at the website, but Oni Press is releasing them in a double-sized first issue with coloring added. I think it comes out in early February. It is a sci-fi series about a group of friends who go to bury a time capsule, but when they start digging to bury it, they find a bunker that has all their names written on the door and then find letters allegedly written by their future selves. It goes in some interesting directions from their and I'm excited to pick up new issues. Another Oni Press series I love is Greg Rucka's Queen and Country. There are already four volumes out, and Rucka's said he may publish new stories in the future. The series follows a British special operations officer, Tara Chace, and balances between showing inter-agency dynamics as she and other agents prepare for field operations, and then you see the field operations in action. That might not sound too exciting at first, but Rucka does a great job creating a character-rich world where you see how Tara's actions on the field impact her and her relationships. If you like spy/espionage movies or books, this does a fantastic job giving you a glimpse of what it's like to be a secret agent. I haven't read it yet, but I've heard good things about the Helheim series too.

I miss that book, and I'd love to see a return. Greg Rucka even did a decent job of making British characters sound authentically British.

As far as current ongoings, I've heard some good things about Helheim from Cullen Bunn, but haven't picked it up yet myself. In their back catalog, in addition to Queen and Country and I really enjoyed Stumptown from Greg Rucka. It is about a female Private Investigator who gets drawn into the mob and has to get herself out of many crazy situations. I also checked out a graphic novel from Oni called Capote in Kansas written by Ande Parks and drawn by Chris Samnee. It's from 2007 and I think really helped showcase Samnee's talents. Besides the art being great, the book is a fascinating take on Capote's life while doing his research for In Cold Blood

Letter 44 is it for me. Although I have the first volume of the 6th gun and just haven't started digging in just yet. The rucka book sounds pretty good, I'll have to check that out

I ordered Down Set Fight! from them, comes in the mail tomorrow. It's by Chris Sims, who has his own podcast called War Rocket Ajax! and writes on Comics Alliance. Hoping it's fun.
I get Letter 44, Helheim, and am already signed up for hte physical copies of The Bunker by Joshua Hale Fialkov. I think they put out quality.

I've been really enjoying the Courtney Crumrin comics by Ted Naifeh. Gorgeous art, and some very nice stories about a teenaged witch.

My favourite Oni series I've read is The Secret History of DB Cooper, really twisted and cool story. My problem with Oni is ALL of their books look so good. Amazing hardcovers of all shapes and sizes, but as the saying goes "You can't judge a book by its cover." I've picked up some of their books where the cover is great, the art is great but the story is average or awful. And because of the price of them its hard to make the decision. Which is why I was wondering if and hoping that somebody here has read Petrograd by Philip Gellat and Tyler Crook about the attempted assassination of Rasputin? I keep picking it up and being hypnotzied by its beautiful hardcover-iness but $40 is a big ask for something I might not enjoy that much.
