I think it's unfair to label people as ignorant because they do not wish to see a character that they hold dear and may have a strong connection with changed to a completely different race. I mean if it's not a big deal why do it at all. Those ones make sense, but they also aren't the ones that I'm waiting for. I'm waiting for the trolls that come out of the woodwork. Fair enough. The problem is it seems that as soon as someone says they are against something like this they get bashed.

As much as I've anticipated Wally's return to DC I can't think of a single reason they shouldn't re-work the character that doesn't amount to "well Wally was our Flash for 20 years" - in all honestly towards the end of The Flash's old 52 run they didn't know what to do with the character (even Waid's comeback) and even more so after the return of Barry Allen. I thought the concept was weak and the previews did nothing for me with the introduction of Simon Baz. Reading it though was great. I really enjoyed his character arch and as blunt as his origin seemed it was really well presented and completely won me over. Baz is honestly one of the best characters DC have created in the last decade, so I'm hoping if they do re-imagine Wally he will be handled just as well. But frankly I think there's enough room for a bunch of other speedsters old or new.

I didn't like the direction Vendetti went in for GL so i dropped the book. When the Brian and Francais left i decided to drop the book until they announced the new creative team but this teams doesn't interest me.
